Shortlisted Books for 2023 APMA Best Atlantic-Published Book Award
The Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association (APMA) is pleased to announce a shortlist of three books for the 2023 Best Atlantic-Published Book Award, sponsored by Friesens Corporation. A cash prize of $3,000 will be awarded to the publisher(s) and a cash prize of $1,000 to the author, to be shared with co-author(s) and/or illustrator(s).
The APMA Best Atlantic Published Book Award is sponsored by Friesens Corporation and is awarded annually to an Atlantic Canadian publisher whose book best exemplifies excellence and achievement in publishing.
The 2023 APMA Best Atlantic-Published Book Award Shortlist:
- Goose Lane Editions with the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Wabanaki Modern / Wabanaki Kiskukewey / Wabanaki Moderne by Emma Hassencahl-Perley & John Leroux
- Flanker Press, Operation Masonic by Helen C. Escott
- Boulder Books, Food, Culture, Place: Stories, Traditions, and Recipes of Newfoundland by Lori McCarthy and Marsha Tulk
The APMA prize will be awarded at the 2023 Atlantic Book Awards Gala, which takes place at Paul O’Regan Hall in Halifax Central Library at 7:00 p.m. Tickets ($20) are available online through EventBrite.
