Newfoundland publishers oppose tax hike on books
Newfoundland book publishers are concerned that changing the tax on printed books purchased in the province from 5% to 15% would be detrimental not only to bookstores and publishers but to the larger issue of literacy in the province. Say no to 15% on books in Nova Scotia
The province of Nova Scotia is in the midst of a tax and regulatory review that could see higher taxes on books.
